Workshop details
Duration: 3 hours Minimum Age: 15 years Participants: 4 to 8 In this exciting three-hour workshop, your chef will teach you the art of making soft, fluffy, oven-baked doughnuts from scratch. Perfect for beginners and baking enthusiasts alike, this hands-on class is designed to help you master the techniques behind delicious baked treats that are lighter and just as satisfying as their fried counterparts. The session begins with an introduction to doughnut making, where your chef will share insights into the key ingredients and techniques for preparing the perfect dough. You will learn how to achieve the ideal texture and rise, ensuring your baked doughnuts are light and airy. During the hands-on portion, you will mix, knead, and shape the dough, exploring how to prepare doughnuts for baking rather than frying. Your chef will guide you through the process step-by-step, offering tips on achieving a beautifully golden, oven-baked finish. The class also includes a creative session where you will experiment with a variety of glazes and toppings. From classic sugar glazes to inventive flavours, you will add your own personal touch to your creations, making each doughnut uniquely yours. By the end of the workshop, you will leave with a batch of freshly baked doughnuts, ready to share and enjoy, along with the confidence to recreate them at home.
